The GAHPS Unit is delighted to announce that we have received funding for our proposal entitled, Our Youth, Our Response: Building Capacity for Effective HIV/HCV Policy and Programming Responses Across the Atlantic Region. The Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation will provide support for this project over the next 3 years. More details to follow.

The GAHPS Unit has had 2 abstracts accepted to the CPHA's 100th Annual Conference. Dr. Gahagan, Derek Leduc, and Prof. Matthew Numer presented on "Male Adolescent's Low Uptake of School-Based Health Centres: A Gender-Based Perspective." Derek and Dr. Gahagan also delivered a presentation entitled "How Do Young Males Make Decisions to Access Sexual Health Services".
March 2-3, 2010 - Sheffield, UK
Dr. Gahagan delivered a presentation entitled "Queering of Health Promotion: Measuring and Evaluating the Impact of Health Promotion in MSM HIV Prevention Research" at the 13th Annual CHAPS Conference. This conference focused on HIV health promotion services for gay and bisexual men and research that addresses gay men’s sexual health.
